I started Wick Video in 2012, a week after I graduated college. I was on my own, making videos for any business I could convince to hire me.

By 2015, Wick Video had 3 full-time employees, a handful of contractors, and a lot of clients.

In 2016, the team was acqui-hired by Sticker Mule, but I retained ownership of the Wick Video brand. For 6 and half years I helped grow the video, design, and marketing teams at Sticker Mule – most recently as Creative Director. The team grew more than 10x. During that time I learned a ton, had a lot of fun, and produced hundreds of cool videos.

In August 2022, I stepped down from Sticker Mule to re-launch Wick Video. It wasn’t easy to walk away from a well paying job that I loved (especially with 3 young kids + mortgage), but I couldn’t quash my entrepreneurial drive. I am very excited for what I am building.

In the past, we made all different types of business videos. This time around, I am narrowing the focus to primarily make videos that will help explain employee benefits (very niche, I know).

Benefits are confusing…deductibles, max-out-pocket, co-pays, in-network, out-of-network, HSAs, FSAs, 401Ks, employer matching, options, etc.

No one benefits from the confusion – and I think videos are the solution.
